Steven B. Lesser is a Shareholder and Chair of Becker’s national Construction Law and Litigation Practice based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Steven is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar and devotes his practice exclusively to construction law and litigation. He is also a Florida Certified Civil Circuit Mediator and Certified arbitrator on construction issues for the American Arbitration Association.

Steven is Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law, the largest organization of construction lawyers in the world. In 2019, he was selected as the recipient of the Cornerstone Award, the highest honor presented by the Forum. The esteemed award recognizes a Forum member who has rendered long-term, exceptional service to the construction industry, to the public, and to the legal profession.

Presently, Steven serves as Chair of the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education which oversees all 27 specialty areas of legal certification in Florida.

Outside of his legal work, Steven is committed to giving back to the community. He is an active member of TOPSoccer, a community –based program for young athletes with disabilities, and was honored to have been named as a TOPSoccer Volunteer of the Year.
