Who do we help?
B4G helps charities and nonprofit organizations with limited budgets and a construction law need. This might include:
· Food banks;
· Domestic violence and homeless shelters;
· Community facilities;
· Organizations helping citizens with physical, emotional or mental disabilities;
· Schools serving underserved populations;
· Conservation and art organizations promoting access to the arts and outdoors by people of all backgrounds; and
· Animal protection organizations.
How do we help?
B4G recruits qualified construction attorneys, who want to provide pro bono legal services, and charitable organizations in need of construction-related legal services, and pairs them based on financial need and appropriate legal skills.
What services are available?
B4G volunteer attorneys provide both transactional and dispute resolution services. Legal work may include:
TRANSACTIONAL: drafting and negotiating construction and design agreements or reviewing and advising on contracts for construction projects.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION: representing nonprofit clients in construction litigation, mediation, or arbitration relating to design or construction defects or other problems on the facility.
