Andy practiced construction and government contracts law for 40 years, helping clients to resolve complex business disputes around the world. As an advocate, he represented contractors, engineers, owners and developers on an extraordinary range of projects and problems, including numerous megaprojects. Now he has transitioned to a second career as a Neutral, serving as mediator, arbitrator, neutral evaluator and DRB member through JAMS. He brings to Neutral appointments a deep understanding of highly complicated and multi-dimensional disputes, and his objective is always efficient, fair and practical resolution, often by cutting through entrenched positions to find creative practical solutions.
Andy has a deep commitment to the betterment of our society, and has served on multiple non-profit boards, most notably for DC Greenspace, a group with the mission to help lead the National Capital region to a sustainable, energy-efficient future. He is also the founding Chair and a board member of the Project Management College of Scheduling, dedicated to advancing the practice and profession of project planning and scheduling, and promoting the implementation of accurate, ethical schedules. Andy was born and raised in California, and attended Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
